Today is day 16 of Blogtober 2017, and the theme is ‘Phobias’!
*Small disclaimer before we begin-my phobias are weird. Like, off the scale odd. Just thought I’d pre-warn you….
The more normal out of my list-I’m pretty sure I’m not alone in this one. Cotton wool, in my opinion, is one of the most disgusting things I’ve ever come across. It squeaks when you use it-it feels abnormal, and to those of you that feel the need to chew it (I’ve genuinely seen people do that), I literally hate you.
Bork! Seriously, I’m gagging just writing this one.
It’s the feel, the sound, even the look of it-it just makes me wretch. If I see someone wearing it, I’ll have to breathe deep calming breaths because it makes me want to run in the opposite direction.
I’ve accidentally touched a little velvet bag, or the velvety inside of a jewellery box before-it took me ages to regain some composure.
I actually have a fear of the bridge collapsing-not so much the bridge itself. I can always imagine, as we drive or walk over one, the underneath suddenly crumbling away, and myself and whoever else is with me plummeting to our deaths (cheery old soul aren’t I!)
And the final fabulously random one for you now-sloths. Real or fake (like cuddly ones), I can’t look at them. Their eyes, their movements, it all looks weird to me-some of them are actually human looking and it just weirds me out so much!
Gogglebox used to have one before and after each advertisement break and I’d make my husband fast forward past it-that one was especially weird!
I’m intrigued-does anyone else share these weirder ones with me? I’ve genuinely never met anyone who has a sloth/velvet phobia!!!
Let me know what you phobia is-the weirder the better (just to make me feel better about mine obviously).
