Let’s face it, we all want an easier life, especially when it comes to the dreaded housework!
With two kids running around constantly, I do resent having to clean for hours, for them only to ruin it with god knows what from god knows where. I’d feel a lot happier if it hadn’t taken me as long, and if I had some awesome cleaning hacks to make life easier!
My Mother-In-Law once told me, a friend of hers used to give herself 10 minutes per hour, to get as much as she could done off her list-that way she wasn’t spending hours doing the same room. This does not work for me!
I asked some of my lovely blogger friends, for their top tips/hacks!
Steph from Expert Home Tips (literally the best website for this kind of stuff), recommended cucumber skin to get crayon marks off of the wall (who knew!)
Alex from Better Together Home said; Use furniture polish to make stainless steel appliances super shiny!
Beth from Twinderelmo said; Baby wipes for EVERYTHING!
Clare from NeonRainbowBlog said; Zoflora is your friend! I use it everywhere for everything and it smells AMAZING. I made my own fabric freshener by mixing two caps of Zoflora+ water in a water spray bottle. I pop it in the washing machine so it doesn’t smell musty, in the winter I clean the radiators with it so it gives a nice smell when they get warm, I even use it on the car dash for a long lasting scent. It is my cleaning bezzie and its so quick and easy to do, your house smells like you’ve been cleaning for hours with very little work lol
Gemma from Somewhere After The Rainbow said; As long as you have Cif, Bleach, kitchen towel and Dettol wipes you can handle most housework situations or baby wipes if that fails. Oh and the Method Glass Cleaner – we have a set of doors with 16 panels, it’s the only thing I can use to do them quickly and it doesn’t smear – amazing stuff!
Renee from Close Enough To Kiss said; Hairspray gets rid of biro in a wink!
Carly from Mummy and the Chunks said; I use glasses wipes (you can usually get whole big boxes in the £ shop) to clean the TV and any mirrors as it gets rid of all smears/fingerprints etc.
Hannah from A New Addition said; Use sugar on spilt nail varnish and then sweep it up. I use salt for sick too.
Lots of awesome tips there!!!! Thanks to my lovely blogger friends for their contribution!
