Orchard Toys Match and Spell Game-Buy from Amazon for £7.50.
This is a great first reading and spelling game, which helps your child recognise letters, and teaches basic phonetic word building. The words range from simple three-letter words like ‘cat’, to more difficult four-letter words. Really handy for helping your preschooler with basic words before they start big school! (For age 4+).
Cassie the Cat Light Up Hat-Buy from Bright Eyes Hats for £14.95.
Myself and my Daughter, pick my Son up from after school club late on a Wednesday. Now the nights are drawing in a little earlier, I know the walk home, at her little age can be a tad daunting!
Then I came across these hats. With a bright LED light in the eyes of the hat, the child wearing it is able to see where they’re going (and light the way for others), stay safe because they can be seen by other walkers and drivers, and, of course, they can stay warm!
Truly one of the best products I’ve seen come out this year!
Snuggle Sac Kids Sleeping Bag-Buy from the Snuggle Sac website for £50.00.
Perfect for sleepovers around friends houses, or even in their siblings room for a night, these sleeping bags are great quality, soft, portable, and come in a range of designs!
They have an opening at the top to place your own pillow in, and the cover is made of 100% cotton, throwing away those memories of scratchy or slidey sleeping bags of the past! (age-will fit anyone under 4ft 9).
YoYo Panda from IMC Club Petz-Buy from Amazon for £43.99.
Another interactive toy for your preschooler-this panda with it’s great big loving eyes, and cute noises is one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen!
It comes with 2 accessories, a bottle and some bamboo and will call your child when they come into a room!
She also falls asleep when you feed her, and wakes up when you tickle her tummy! (For age 3+).
Kid K’NEX Stretchin’ Friends Building Set-Buy from Amazon for £7.98.
Obviously there is normal K’Nex, but I’ve found when my son is playing with that and his little sister wants to get involved, she ends up over with me a lot of the time, trying to get me to fix pieces together or take bits apart. This set is made for the age range she is, the pieces aren’t as hard to put together or take apart, and the designs to follow are a lot more basic, meaning the little ones get that sense of achievement, because they’ve made something by following instructions-just like their older sibling! (For age 3+).
Learning Minds Mega Wedge Blox Tub-Buy from Amazon for £15.99.
I came across these after a teacher at my Daughter’s preschool, pointed them out to me. Nothing like your normal blocks, these geometric pieces nest and stack together creating incredible 3D structures!
The blocks introduce children to spacial awareness, angles, colour matching and free play.
They come in a really strong clip box, making for easy storage (basically meaning they’re not strewn across the floor while you find somewhere to put them!). Really unusual, but I think something your preschooler will love! (For age 3+).
