Dove Summer Glow Nourishing Lotion Fair to Medium Skin
Dove describes the lotion as:
A gradual self tanner which nourishes skin while enhancing the natural skin colour gradually.
I suffer with dry skin, so use moisturiser every night anyway, but used this instead because I had a “Club Tropicana” themed night to go to Saturday, so wanted a little colour in my skin.
Dove’s directions for use are:
- Apply daily, in circular motions all over the body to gradually build an even tan.
- Allow to absorb fully before dressing.
- Wash hands after use.
I may have changed the rules ever so slightly, I wanted a darker tan, quickly, so I used it twice a day, and the colour was amazing!
This is after day one:
The lotion goes on quite sticky, and you really have to be patient while it soaks into the skin. But once fully absorbed, my skin was so soft and smooth, and I could see the colour difference really quite quickly.
The only downside I ever have with gradual tanning products is the smell. Initially the smell is fine, but as it absorbed into your skin, the all-so-familiar ‘biscuit’ smell is there. My husband says he quite likes the smell, but I do find it quite hard to mask or get rid of.
My score for this product 9/10. (I took 1 point off because of the absorption time and smell, but I am so pleased with the result!)
