How much do your children love face paints? If they’re anything like my Daughter (just her-my son isn’t as keen), then the answer will be “thiiiiiiiiis much”, (while they hold their hands as wide apart as possible).
Who are Snazaroo?
Stocking what is considered by many as the “world’s favourite face paint”, Snazaroo are also sellers of face painting accessories and kits, from all different styles, colours and themes.
Snazaroo face paints are fragrance-free and specially-formulated to be gentle on the skin. (They do however, recommend that before you start painting, you swipe a small test area on the inside of the arm or elbow.)
Who are Weekend Box?
Back in 2013, founder Andy (then 24) got bored of old toys, so decided that what he really wanted to do was to work on his own project, and so he quit his job to do just that.
Added to the fact that he just couldn’t find the right present to buy for his nieces and nephews, he decided something had to be done, so he married the two and the Weekend Box was born.
He turned his bedroom into a craft hub, distribution centre and customer service point, and, using his small amount of savings, began making and sending the early Weekend Boxes.
Weekend boxes are now flying off the proverbial shelves, and include stimulating, educational and fun activities for children!
Our Weekend Box
Our box included two new mini packs of Snazaroo face paints.
Mini Theme Pack, perfect for turning little monsters into little fairies in no time at all! Priced at just £2.99, the bite size packs came with a sponge and brush, so all we needed to include from home was a dab of water!
Birthday Party Face Painting Stamps, perfect for both boys and girls, the kit is great for keeping kids entertained at any birthday party!
They’re super easy to remove however, the packaging says soap and water, but we love a wet wipe in our house-so they worked just as well!
My daughter had an allergic reaction less than 24 hours before, and had come up in a rash, that had since gone down-but it had left her skin a little vulnerable, so we were a little wary about putting the paints on her-but she was pretty insistent that it was what she wanted to do-and there were no effects on her sensitive skin.
I am NO artist in the slightest, and, after Olivia asked to look like a lion-I did my best (which was pretty horrific). She loved it though, so I didn’t feel as bad, watching her run around roaring at her poor brother!
She then had a go too-using the party face stamps-she loved putting pretty colours and shapes all over her face, then wiping them off, and starting all over again!
I was sent this product in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
