Octopus Learning Subscription Box – Mayflower Blogs

We were very kindly sent a subscription box for Miss Olivia to try out in the Summer Holidays, from a brand new company-OCTOPUS LEARNING!

Who are Octopus Learning?

Founded by Tanya, Octopus Learning was set up to promote education through fun, interaction and creativity. Tanya came up with the idea after subscribing to a few monthly subscription boxes for her son. She loved the concept: something arriving for him each month, which would give them quality time doing fun and educational activities; however he was a little young for them.  So that’s when Tanya decided to try and create a box that would be suitable for ages 2 – 5 years, and that would have a variety of activities linked to all of the different areas of the Early Years Curriculum (EYFS).

Tanya has been a primary school teacher for almost 20 years, which has given her the passion to teach little ones inside a classroom setting, but now the passion to help teach children in their own homes.

What did we receive?

Tanya really kindly sent Olivia her very own box-with everything inside that she’d need to have a ton of fun, while learning alongside the EYFS curriculum.

Our box contained several activities; Rock Pool Counting, Scavenger Hunt, Crayon Rubbings, Rhyming Words, and Make Your Own Rock Pool.

Each activity is explained on the back of fun cards, and most of the equipment you need to do the activities with your child are included in the personalised box!

The box comes with a newsletter for parents, to explain how the contents work, and ideas on how to engage your child from the second they open the box.

How much is the box?

There are a few subscription options on offer-one being the ‘one child’ subscription.  For only £9.99 per month (plus £1 p&p to the UK), your child receives a personalised box, once a month, which are sent out on the first week of every month.
The boxes can also be shipped to Europe and Worldwide, and there is a ‘sibling subscription’.  This includes a personalised box for two children, and resources for both to complete activities.  This is only £14.95 per month (plus £1 p&p to the UK) which is basically like buying one and getting one half price!

What’s more-Octopus Learning have very kindly given you, my lovely readers, 10% off your subscription every month!  Just enter the code BLOGREC10 at the checkout!
